Congrats if you got to this page, not too many people do. Most don’t think of fishing during the winter but we have some neat options if you’d like to get out for a trip. Our Vancouver salmon fishing trips are still underway, leaving from downtown Vancouver. Winter fishing is focused on chinook (king) salmon in the 5-10 pound range and we often drop crab and prawn traps if conditions permit. There’s some good trout fishing to be had on our Vancouver fly fishing trips and our Whistler fishing trips as resident bull and rainbow trout feed on salmon eggs. No other options in Vancouver for the Winter fishing as sturgeon fishing trips don’t happen in the winter months.

For those with adventurous souls there is some winter fishing options on Vancouver Island for steelhead. These trips are very dependant on river levels and water conditions so best to contact us before hand for an update report.
