We want you to have the best experience with us and know exactly what to expect, here are some answers to the most common questions about our BC Big Fish Combo packages.

When is the best time to come for this trip?

Best times to come and enjoy our BC Big Fish combo is mid April to late September. Prime time dates are July, August & September. This will give you the best of both salmon and sturgeon fishing.

Are boats private or shared?

All BC Big Fish combo trips are totally private, just you and your group onboard our salmon and sturgeon boats.

How can I keep costs down?

Best way to make this trip the most affordable is to have a group of four anglers. This brings down the per person price significantly. Also, organizing your own transportation, by renting a vehicle also will save you a lot.

Can I take my fish home?

You can take your salmon home yes.  Not your sturgeon, that is a catch and release fishery.  You can travel with sport caught salmon across the border to the United States without issue. You can also bring it to St. Jeans Cannery for smoking, canning or have them ship it home to you.

How does package pricing work?

Pricing is based on how many days of fishing you’d like and what type or hotel room arrangements you’d like. Our pricing is fair and we can whip up a same day quote for you, just ask!

Can we arrange our own accommodation?

Of course. If you have a hotel already booked and just want to go salmon or sturgeon fishing let us know and we’ll get you booked in.

We have a non-fishing member in the group, what can they do?

There is obviously plenty to do in Vancouver, so while you go salmon fishing your non-fishing group member can have lots of fun exploring the city or relaxing at the hotel. Not so much so where we are sturgeon fishing. If you have a non-fishing member in your group we recommend they stay in Vancouver while you go sturgeon fishing as activity options are quite limited in that area.
