Island Pursuit Sport Fishing operates year round offering Comox fishing charters targeting all five species of Pacific salmon. Departing the Comox Fisherman’s Warf you will be fishing the bountiful Georgia Straight; home to whales and wildlife and the largest concentration of herring bait found in BC. You will soon find out that Comes is a perfect Vancouver Island fishing destination. From January to April Island Pursuit Sport Fishing targets the local Gulf Island chinook (king) salmon ranging from 5-15lbs. They are some of the hardest fighting, tastiest salmon of the year.
May and June offer the most consistent salmon fishing of the year for bigger chinook salmon in the 8-20 pound range. Full day fishing charters often have very good luck bottom fishing at this time as well! July through August you can’t go wrong with fishing in Comox BC, there are migrating chinooks, coho (silver), and a chance at all 5 species of Pacific salmon migrating to their local rivers. Regardless of the time of year, there is always salmon fishing on this part of southern Vancouver Island.
