DO I NEED ANY FISHING EXPERIENCE?

Absolutely no experience necessary. You can come not knowing what end of the rod to hold and we’ll have you casting like an all-star by the end of the day. Our courses go over fly fishing gear, finding fish, casting instruction, on-the-water safety and much more. If you have some experience this is fly fishing course will hone your skills and make you a better fly angler.

DO YOU TEACH CASTING?

Of course, teaching people all about casting fly rods is a big part of the day.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO LEARN DURING THE DAY?

We jam a ton into 4 hours. You'll learn basics about fly fishing tackle, you'll learn how to cast, you'll learn about river etiquette and fly fishing techniques used here in the Pacific Northwest.

WHAT DO WE BRING AND WHAT DO WE WEAR?

Bring some clothes as if you were going hiking. Some warmer socks are nice when you’re in the water casting and some lightweight pants are best underneath the waders we supply you. Layering is key to being comfortable on the water, so a fleece top with light wind/rain jacket is a good combo. You’re welcome to bring food and drinks (no alcohol).

DO WE ACTUALLY GO FISHING?!

Our courses are on the river with licensed guides, so you can do some fishing as well for sure!

ARE THE COURSES COVID SAFE?

Courses are instructed outside in an outdoor setting. Social distances are kept between members and all gear is sanitized before and after use. We make these courses as safe as possible.
