Early September
Fishing for Pink salmon is a great Summer and early Fall trip. The rivers of BC’s south coast welcome pink salmon on odd years (2021, 2023, etct). September is a good month for BC pink salmon fishing, offering stable river conditions and nice weather.
Pink Salmon average 5-8 pounds and where we fish for them is super close to the open ocean, so they’re shiny and bright and crush pink coloured flies. September fly fishing for Pink Salmon is something all ages and angler abilities can enjoy. We fish lighter rods to swing flies for these feisty fish, sometimes have 10 to 20 plus fish days!

Within an hour of Vancouver you can be fishing for chum salmon and coho salmon. Prime dates for our Fall chum salmon trips are mid October through to late November, during that time we offer guided day trips and multi-day packages.
The fishing we do is on the Squamish River. This area gives us access to fresh salmon coming off the open ocean. We stay away from spawning fish and respect them as they make their journey upstream. These are fly fishing trips, but we can accommodate conventional gear anglers. This experience is well suited to anglers of all abilities, but moderate fishing experience levels generally get the most of this trip. We also have areas we can fish for BC bull trout through the Fall and Winter months.

September, October and November are all solid months for Fraser River sturgeon fishing, with October & November usually being two months were we see a proportionate number of bigger fish being caught.
